Michelle Waterson gives her take on the Child exploitation speech from Holm

Holly Holm gave a heartfelt speech after her last win in the UFC. The former UFC Champion talked about Child Exploitation and how we should be better role models for the children out there.

Michelle Waterson was asked about the speech from Holly Holm in her recent interview with James Lynch.

Waterson noted that Holm lets her actions speak for herself.

“I think it's really important I think that more of us should do it especially as you know strong female athletes. We do have a voice the beautiful thing about Holly is that she lets her actions speak for themselves and that's how she is in the gym and I've kind of modeled myself after that,” she said in the interview.

She added that it is important as a parent to be good role models for the children.

“My dad used to always say actions speak louder than words. You can point your finger and tell your kid to go for their dreams and do this and do that all you want. But unless your child sees you going for your dreams unless your child sees you being disciplined unless your child sees you fall down get knocked off the horse and get back up and dust yourself off and go for it. Then they're not gonna understand what it really is to do those things so it's important for us as parents to be strong parents and to be good role models for our children,” Michelle Waterson added.

Holm received a lot of support from MMA fans as well for her speech. Some fans pointed out that Holm voiced the opinion of everyone by speaking after her fight.
