If Conor McGregor remains unavailable for competition, Michael Chandler is open to considering Nate Diaz as an alternative opponent.
With McGregor's return to the octagon uncertain following his withdrawal from UFC 303 due to a toe injury, Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has faced criticism for not pursuing other fight options.
Recently, Chandler has shown a willingness to explore different avenues, expressing interest in facing Diaz (21-13 MMA, 16-11 UFC) after the former UFC star expressed a desire to return to MMA following his boxing victory over Jorge Masvidal last Saturday.
"Sit down, Ron… better idea – me and @NateDiaz209 fight like real men, while Conor sits on a yacht and watches on PPV in his slippers. #ufcnoche #riyadhseason," Chandler, 38, suggested for a bout with Diaz at the Riyadh Season Noche UFC event scheduled for September 14 at Sphere.

Diaz, who mentioned Jake Paul and Leon Edwards as potential opponents, did not initially name Chandler as a contender for his next fight.
