Indian MMA star Puja Tomar is all set to fight Bi Nguyen for the inaugural MFN Women’s Strawweight title at MFN 10. The announcement was made by Matrix Fight Night today and the fight will happen in Dubai in November and will be streamed on Disney Hotstar. The Dates for the event are yet to be announced.
Puja Tomar and Bi Nguyen have fought previously once under Muay Thai rules with Bi Nguyen taking home a close split decision win. This time around, the fighters will be competing under MMA rules which is bound to make matters interesting.
Puja Tomar is coming into the fight with a record of 6-4 to her name and is on a two-fight winning streak. She made her MFN debut back at MFN 6 and secured a split decision win over Jojo Rajkumari. The Indian then fought Tenzin Pema at MFN 9 and produced a dominant first-round TKO victory.
Prior to this, she was competing in ONE Championship where she had fought names like Stamp Fairtex, Tiffany Teo, and Jihin Radzuan among others. Puja had also secured a win over Priscilla Gaol during her run in ONE Championship.
The Indian is a Super Fight League veteran as well having fought four times in the promotion. She is 3-1 in the Super Fight League with wins over Thulasi Helen, Ishu Sood and Priyanka Kadam.
As for Bi Nguyen, she is coming off two back-to-back losses against Lin Heqin and Jenelyn Olsim in the ONE Championship. Prior to this, Nguyen had secured a win over Indian MMA star Ritu Phogat in the ONE Championship Atomweight Grand Prix.

Nguyen holds a record of 6-8 to her name and was on a rollercoaster run during her ONE Championship stint. She had three wins in the promotion, one of which came against Puja Tomar under Muay Thai Rules. Nguyen has also locked horns with Stamp Fairtex in ONE.
Matrix Fight Night 10 will happen in Dubai and will be the first MFN event which will be streamed live on Disney Hotstar plus. The event will also feature three more title fights with the Men’s Bantamweight, Men’s Flyweight and Men’s Featherweight titles set to be on the line.
