Maycee Barber is confident that she can outclass Alexa Grasso if the two were to fight again.
Alexa Grasso became the new UFC Flyweight champion recently with a win over Valentina Shevchenko. Prior to this, Grasso had secured a decision win over Maycee Barber at UFC 258: Usman vs. Burns.
After this loss, Barber has been on a four-fight winning streak. Her first win came against Miranda Maverick and this was followed by a win against Montana De La Rosa as well.
Wins against Jessica Eye and Andrea Lee followed for Barber.
Speaking in a recent interview with James Lynch, Barber noted that she has changed a lot since her last outing with Alexa Grasso.
“I think it'd be great you know I've evolved so much in my game and I've had a lot of changes you know. Obviously, I moved camps and I've switched and I've been on a four or five-win streak since that fight. I just think that you know I'm not like I've said before I'm never gonna make any excuses I think that Alexa is a phenomenal fighter and um I lost that night but for me you know that's a fight that I'm like I gotta get that back because I know what I'm capable,” Barber said in her interview with James Lynch.

Adding to the same, Barber noted that she would be able to get her hands raised if a rematch is to happen.
“You know my mentality and how I walked into that fight that was the only fight I've ever walked into mentally just like feeling like oh man I could have done so much more. If this was different, this was different and again no excuses because I was training but it's one of those where I'm like I'm confident going into that fight that I would get my hand raised,” Barber added.
