Valentina Shevchenko notes that she predicted the loss of Casey O Neill against Jennifer Maia. The former UFC flyweight champion noted that she was not surprised by the result of the fight.

Shevchenko was talking to James Lynch recently and noted that there was a lot of noise around Casey.

“I didn't watch the fight but the result didn't surprise me because I I predicted this um like result in this fight,” Shevchenko said when asked about the fight.

She went on to add that people often overlook the skills of the fighters when there is a lot of noise around the fight. Shevchenko was reacting to the news that Casey O Neill was the betting favorite heading into the fight.

“I didn't know, I didn't follow that exactly this news because you know I don't follow this news even in my fight why should I follow for someone. But yeah, it's kind of like since what is going around I would say about someone who were like bringing this noise and something like that. Sometimes people, they are not looking into the essence and don't consider the quality of the fighter and they are looking only about what is surrounding like all around of the fighter,” Shevchenko added.

Casey O Neill was undefeated heading into the fight with Maia. The Scottish fighter was also coming off a long break which she had taken to recover from the injury.
