Nantes, France - BRAVE CF 74's star attraction, Lucas Martins, is gearing up for a momentous showdown with Ylies Djiroun in Nantes, France, this week, and he won't be lacking in motivation. The former BRAVE CF Lightweight champion from Brazil is set to lock horns with France's submission specialist Djiroun on September 7th, in a pivotal match that could determine the number-one contender. This bout headlines a historic event, as BRAVE CF 74 officially marks France as the 29th nation to host a BRAVE Combat Federation show—an unparalleled achievement in the MMA industry.

For Lucas Martins, the upcoming spectacle carries a profound significance beyond the pursuit of championship glory. Earlier this year, he welcomed the birth of his daughter, Clara. This new chapter in his life has added a potent layer of motivation to his fighting career. Martins is now driven by the desire to become a world champion and to proudly show his daughter that her father is a champion in the world of mixed martial arts.

"I have a huge reason to fight, and that is to become a world champion and show my daughter her father is a world champion," Martins emphasized, encapsulating the depth of his determination.

With a remarkable record of 21 wins in 27 fights, including an impressive 13 knockouts, Martins has consistently demonstrated his ferocity inside the cage. His relentless pursuit of greatness has been a defining characteristic of his career. However, the arrival of his five-month-old daughter, Clara, has brought a new perspective to his life and his fighting journey.

"I'm a different fighter now than before my last loss," Martins admitted, alluding to his submission defeat to Olzhas Eskaraev at BRAVE CF 53.

Martins endured a challenging season in his career, marked by injuries, setbacks, and fight cancellations, following his victory at BRAVE CF 11, where he claimed the BRAVE CF Lightweight title. Nevertheless, the resilient Brazilian fighter mounted a comeback and secured a knockout triumph over compatriot Henrique Marques in his last outing at BRAVE CF 60 last year. Buoyed by his recent performance and with the unwavering support of baby Clara, Martins has elevated his determination as he relentlessly pursues his second BRAVE CF championship.

"My motivation is through the roof because of Clara, and I can't wait to fight, win for her, and move on to become a two-time world champion," Martins declared, underscoring his aspiration. Notably, Martins has already engaged in a spirited exchange with the undisputed Lightweight champion, Abdisalam Kubanychbek, setting the stage for a potential championship clash in the future.
