Della Maddalena made his professional MMA debut on March 12, 2016, in a bout against Aldin Bates. Unfortunately, he suffered a TKO loss in the third round. Undeterred, he continued to hone his skills and faced Darcy Vendy in his next fight, but again faced defeat via submission in the first round.
