ARES Flyweight champion and undefeated Ivana Petrovic has signed with the UFC. Petrovic currently holds a professional MMA record of 6-0 to her name and has been competing in ARES Fighting Championship since 2022.
She made the announcement on her Instagram page last day.
“Welcome to my new office. HERE WE GO! Signed and ready to go, let’s dance ladies,” she wrote.
She holds four wins in the promotion with three of them coming via finishes. Her most recent fight happened in April 2023 when she outclassed Ewelina Wozniak at Ares FC 14. Petrovic secured a fourth-round submission win in the fight which interestingly was also her second straight submission win.
Prior to her professional run, she had competed in Battle Arena and Cage Warriors. She started her MMA career back in 2018 at Battle Arena 52 and went on to compete in the amateur circuit till 2020 before turning professional in 2021.
As per Tapology, Petrovic holds an amateur MMA record of 5-1 to her name with her lone loss coming against Charlie Crochet at Battle Arena 56. On the flip side, she had secured wins over names like Shanelle Dyer, Stephanie Evans, Maria Andersen, Alberte Ostermann and Melissa Dixon.
Petrovic made her professional MMA debut at Battle Arena 62 in August 2021 and impressed everyone with a second-round TKO win over Joanne Doyle. She then replicated a similar performance against Alline Torquato at Fight Club Rush 10 and secured a first-round TKO win.
Another first-round TKO win followed for Petrovic when she outclassed Dorota Norek in her third professional fight and ARES Fighting Championship debut.
