Dana White shares nasty X-Ray image of Istela Nunes injury

The MMA community was abuzz during UFC Vegas 77 as Istela Nunes suffered a severe injury during the Istela Nunes vs. Vicktoriia Dudakova fight at UFC Vegas 77. The event took place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada and was broadcasted live on ESPN/ESPN+.

The incident left Nunes with a broken elbow, which UFC president Dana White shared on social media through a graphic x-ray image.

Nunes entered the fight having faced three consecutive losses in her previous Octagon appearances.

While she had faced tough opponents, it was crucial for the Brazilian fighter to make a strong impression against highly anticipated newcomer Vicktoriia Dudakova. Unfortunately, Nunes had little opportunity to showcase her skills and convince the UFC to retain her.

Merely 30 seconds into the first round, during Dudakova's takedown attempt, Nunes positioned her elbow in a vulnerable manner, resulting in her arm bending inward and sustaining a significant injury.

She immediately recoiled in pain and sought medical attention from ringside doctors. The distressing sight left even Dudakova, whose UFC debut was cut short, in a state of shock.

Following the fight, Dana White shared a slow-motion replay of the incident on social media and later posted a photograph displaying the x-ray of Nunes' arm. The image clearly revealed the severity of the fracture, leaving no doubt about the extent of the injury.
