VIDEO: Istela Nunes breaks her arm during fight against Viktoriia Dudakova

Things did not go as planned for Istela Nunes at UFC Vegas 77. The UFC star suffered a bad injury at the event today during her fight against promotional debutant Viktoriia Dudakova.

The incident happened only 30 seconds into the fight and the Russian was going for a takedown against Nunes. However, Nunes landed on her arm which forced the referee to stop the fight immediately.

After consultation with the doctors, the fight was ruled in favour of Viktoriia Dudakova via a TKO injury in the first round

With the win, Dudakova now has improved her undefeated record to 7 wins. In August 2022, Dudakova achieved a remarkable victory on Dana White's Contender Series by securing a unanimous decision against Maria Silva. However, her progress was hindered by a knee injury, leading her to temporarily step away from competition.

Dudakova embarked on her professional journey in September 2020, showcasing her skills on a Fight Nights Global card with an impressive armbar finish against her opponent.

As for Nunes, she will now have to go back to the drawing board and will be looking to bounce back from the defeat when she gets an opportunity to do so.
