A super-fight between Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones is something that excites the fans.
After defeating UFC middleweight title Alex Pereira in their rematch at UFC 287 this past weekend, Israel Adesanya is once again at the top of the organisation.
Adesanya has a wide range of alternatives for his next opponent now that he is a champion once more, including a potential matchup with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
Speaking on Dazn MMA Show, Hardy broke down the fight.
"I’m not saying it couldn’t be made because they are two of the biggest draws in the sport. Of course, it would be a fascinating bout between someone who is clearly undersized, outreached, out-heighted, but his technique is the thing that’s always shone with Adesanya,” he said.
Despite the size difference, Hardy spoke highly of the technical superiority of Adesanya.
"Jon Jones especially at 205, his creativeness was lethal, but now he’s moved up to heavyweight I feel that he’s just going to be way too much for Adesanya at this size,” he added.
Jon Jones recently made his return to MMA and won the UFC Heavyweight title. Jones outclassed Ciryl Gane to win the Heavyweight title.
Jones started his professional career in 2008, competing in regional promotions before making his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2009. He quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with, winning his first six fights in the promotion.
In 2011, Jones won the UFC light heavyweight championship by defeating Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. He went on to defend the title eight times, setting a record for most consecutive title defenses in the division's history. During this run, he defeated some of the biggest names in the sport, including Daniel Cormier, Alexander Gustafsson, and Rashad Evans.
