Ex-Girlfriend of Israel Adesanya Files Lawsuit for Half of His Wealth

Charlotte Powdrell, the former girlfriend of UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, has reportedly filed a lawsuit against him, demanding half of his assets as a settlement. UFC fighter Sean O'Malley first disclosed this on a podcast streamed on Suga YouTube channel.

Although the couple was not married and did not have any children together, Powdrell claims that she supported Adesanya's UFC career and believes that she is entitled to half of his wealth. O'Malley expressed his disbelief at this, stating that he did not even know Adesanya had a girlfriend, let alone how their relationship was.

“I don’t know how their relationship was because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend, but to want half of what he’s gone out there and done is absolutely ridiculous,” O'Malley said.

Adesanya and Powdrell's relationship first came to light in 2019, after she was seen with him following his victory over Robert Whittaker. Powdrell is a real estate agent based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Adesanya is one of the highest paid mixed martial artists in the world, with an estimated net worth of $2 million. He has earned this through his successful career in the UFC, where he currently holds the Middleweight championship.

While it is not uncommon for former partners to make claims on a celebrity's wealth, especially when there are no prenuptial agreements in place, the case has sparked debate among fans and experts alike. It remains to be seen how the case will play out in court, but it serves as a reminder of the importance of legal agreements and transparency in relationships, particularly when wealth is involved.
