Gordon Ryan is widely regarded as one of the world's top No-Gi grapplers and jiu-jitsu practitioners. Fans recognise the multiple ADCC champion for his dominance and unrivalled technique in the sport.
Gordon is seen fighting with the 'Game of Thrones' star in a video shared to YouTube by Hafthor Bjornsson. The video was titled by Bjornsson: "Got humbled quite badly by Jiu jitsu champion Gordon Ryan".
Despite their nearly 50kg weight discrepancy, the jiu-jitsu practitioner easily moved the actor and former strongman. Gordon Ryan began at the bottom and controlled Bjornsson's wrist to upset his balance.
He then wrapped his legs around the Icelander's and climbed onto his back. Ryan persuaded 'The Mountain' to stand and then easily knocked him down again.
Ryan was on top of Bjornsson, who had nowhere to go after a few minutes of grappling. The Icelander can be heard stating near the end of the video: Okay I’m done.
As the onlookers around them began to laugh, Ryan climbed off the 6'9" former strongman who was panting for breath. Ryan was prepping for his UFC Fight Pass debut against Nicky Rod.

UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3 concluded earlier today with the main event of Gordon Ryan vs. Nick Rodriguez. Ryan was meant to face the highly acclaimed Vinny Magalhaes, but when Magalhaes withdrew in the closing seconds, Ryan's former teammate Rodriguez stepped up to the plate to avenge a recent Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) loss.

Ryan drew his guard almost immediately. He did a lot of work from half guard, but Rodriguez did well to avoid anything too dangerous. The minutes ticked away as Ryan looked for arm drags and butterfly elevations, while Rodriguez attempted to work a body lock pass every now and then. Until around eight minutes before the end, the two mostly cancelled each other out.
Gordon was able to enter a leg entanglement at that point. Rodriguez appeared to be in serious danger, but he forced Ryan to release the leg with a twisting foot lock. Following that exchange, the two resumed their prior style bout until regulation time expired.

In overtime, the two duelled back-and-forth from back control. It was a nail-biter, but Ryan managed to accumulate just enough control time to win.
