Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he will be present for the February 26 fight in Saudi Arabia between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.
Given his recent move to Saudi Premier League team Al-Nassr FC and subsequent relocation to the Middle East, there has been widespread anticipation that the footballing icon would be ringside. You can see the video at the bottom.
The Portuguese star will attend the highly anticipated match at the Diriyah Arena, according to friend and presenter Piers Morgan. On the most recent episode of Talk TV's Piers Morgan Uncensored, Morgan questioned The Problem Child if he thought Ronaldo will attend the fight during his chat with Paul.
“That is what the rumours are saying man and I think Tommy is going to be his masseuse after this,” Paul replied.
After the interview, Morgan updated that Ronaldo will indeed be in attendance for the showdown.
“Well, a quick update to the end of that conversation, Cristiano Ronaldo has just told me he is going to the fight on Sunday and he thinks it’s going to be a great fight which many people do so there you are,” he noted.
Following an 18-month wait and two failed attempts to complete the fight, Paul and Fury will finally have the opportunity to square off on Sunday. Fury withdrew from the fight before their first meeting in December 2021 because to a broken rib he sustained while training.
The fight was then postponed once more eight months later when TNT was denied access to the United States, where the match was scheduled to take place. Many questioned whether the fight would ever happen given their troubled past, and those scepticisms were only fueled when Fury skipped their press conference to announce the match two weeks ago.
