Jake Paul has announced that he will be making his boxing return on August 6, 2022 against Tommy Fury. The announcement was made by Jake today on Twitter and noted that the event will happen in Madison Square Garden.
Amanda Serrano will be headlining the card as well as she fights Brenda Carabajal.
“Okay people he grew a set over night. It’s official, Im taking this little Fury’s head off. Amanda Serrano and I dual main-event at the Mecca of boxing. Official press conference and ticket on-sale this Wednesday June 29th at 11AM. #PaulFury,” Jake Paul wrote on Twitter.
Jake Paul has been on an impressive run in his boxing career so far and holds a record of 5-0 to his name with four of his wins coming via knockout. The YouTube sensation made his professional boxing career back in 2019 and has fought former ONE Championship champion Ben Askren and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
Tommy Fury, on the other hand, has fought eight times with a record of 8-0. Four of his wins came via knockout as well. Fury made his debut back in 2018 and has already fought once in 2022 when he went up against Daniel Bocianski.
Multiple weight champion Amanda Serrano comes into her fight on August 6 on the back of a loss against Katie Taylor back in April 2022. Serrano will be eager to bounce back from the loss and holds a record of 42-2-1 to her name and was on a long winning streak before suffering a loss to Taylor.
Amanda will be fighting Brenda Carabajal who holds a record of 18-5-1 to her name and is the top-ranked boxer in Argentina as per BoxRec. She is currently on a two-fight winning streak as well.
