Cesar Gracie feels that Conor McGregor vs. Nick Diaz should happen

Cesar Gracie, who is the long-time coach of Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz, feels that a fight between Nick Diaz and Conor McGregor would be insane. Speaking to Submission Radio recently, Cesar Gracie opened up about the possibility and detailed the possibility.

He noted that it would be a great fight and that both fighters have respect for each other.

“Oddly enough, me and my personal point of view on that is that’s the fight. I would love to see Nick and McGregor fight, 100 percent because I think it would be insane. It would be great. I think they both have respect for each other and their skills and everything. And I think it would be like an amazing fight; I do,” he noted (h/t Sportskeeda).

He further went on to add that Nick is loyal to his brother, Nate Diaz.

"But Nick is such a loyal guy to his brother, to Nate, that he looks at that as Nate’s fight. And he does not want to step on his toes. Now, if Nate turned to him and go, ‘Hey, I’m never going to fight that guy,’ type of a thing; then Nick would definitely do it,” he added.

Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor have so far fought twice in the UFC. In the first outing, Nate Diaz submitted McGregor and in the rematch, the Irishman took home a decision win which in turn has kept the doors open for a trilogy fight between the two superstars.

As for Nick Diaz, he made his return to the UFC octagon recently against Robbie Lawler and suffered a loss. Interestingly, McGregor had noted that Nick Diaz is ‘the real legend’ in one of his tweets after Diaz’s fight with Lawler.
