The winds of change may soon blow through ONE’s featherweight kickboxing division.
While ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn has been busy defending his throne, a new threat has emerged after the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Final – Chingiz Allazov.
Now, the two men will meet in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin on Saturday, 3 December, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Allazov’s first outing saw an anti-climactic offering from the kickboxer, as he took a split-decision loss to Germany’s Enriko Kehl. However, the tough start to life in ONE would become the catalyst for a sharper, stronger Allazov.

The featherweight kickboxer returned home to lick his wounds and strengthen his tools, only to return in October 2021 for the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix quarterfinals.
Allazov entered the bracket against Samy Sana with a chip on his shoulder, which ultimately shone through as he dismissed his opposition in just 39 seconds to advance to the next stage of the Grand Prix.
In January 2022, Allazov took his talents into the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix semifinals, where he met 71-9 Smokin’ Jo Nattawut.
The outcome remained the same for Allazov, though, as he yet again scored another first-round finish, stunning Nattawut with a counter-attack to punch his ticket to the Grand Prix final.
All roads led to Allazov’s greatest challenge yet – old tormentor Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, who he rematched at ONE X in March of this year.
In what was an undeniable performance, Allazov this time passed the test that the veteran striker put in front of him. Over the course of three rounds, he outstruck and outpointed Sittichai to pick up a unanimous decision victory and the biggest accolades of his career – the prestigious silver belt, the #1 spot in the rankings, and a shot at Superbon.
Superbon has yet to taste defeat in the ONE Championship but he has also not yet faced a challenger as aggressive as Allazov.

After dispatching one legend in Sittichai, Allazov will aim to claim the scalp of another Thai veteran – and where better for that to happen than in Manila.
