As the year draws to a close, BRAVE Combat Federation has concluded its week-long unveiling of nominees for the 2023 end-of-year awards. The final category, Fighter of The Year, is now public knowledge, showcasing four exceptional fighters from four different countries, underscoring the organization's global reach.

At the forefront of the nominees are world champions Nkosi Ndebele and Abdisalam Kubanychbek. Ndebele, the Bantamweight king from South Africa, had a monumental 2023. Despite starting the year with a controversial decision loss in a vacant 135-pound world title fight against Jose Torres, Ndebele responded to fan demand for a rematch. His end-of-year performance showcased one of the greatest displays in BRAVE CF history, as he dominated the former champion to claim the title.

Abdisalam Kubanychbek, the Lightweight titleholder, also ended 2023 on a high note. He unified the championship against Kamil Magomedov at BRAVE CF 69 and closed the year with a knockout victory over former champion Lucas Martins. While Martins failed to make weight, Kubanychbek is eagerly anticipating defending his belt officially in the coming year.
