BRAVE Combat Federation has reached a milestone in its history as three African athletes simultaneously hold championship titles in the promotion.
The achievement marks the first time BRAVE CF has had three African champions at the same time, highlighting the continent’s growing influence within the organization and the broader mixed martial arts landscape.
Among them is interim super welterweight champion Alex “Da Killa King” Lohoré.
Representing a background connected to Côte d’Ivoire, France and England, Lohoré captured the interim BRAVE CF Super Welterweight World Championship at BRAVE 100 in November 2025.
His title run has further established him among the leading contenders in the division while reflecting the global reach of athletes with African heritage competing at the highest levels of the sport.
Zimbabwe’s Nicholas “The Saint” Hwende also holds championship status after capturing the undisputed BRAVE CF Featherweight World Championship at BRAVE CF 105 in May.
Hwende submitted interim champion Omar “Cobra” Solomanov in the fifth round to unify the title and add featherweight gold to his accomplishments.
A former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion, Hwende became one of a select group of fighters to win world titles in two different weight classes under the promotion’s banner.
His achievements have helped raise the profile of Zimbabwean mixed martial arts and established him as one of the most accomplished fighters from Sub-Saharan Africa competing in BRAVE CF.
Completing the trio is Algeria’s Mohamed “L’Ambiance” Said Maalem, who won the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight World Championship at BRAVE CF 106 on June 6.
Said Maalem claimed the title with a stoppage victory over former champion Erko “The Bounty Hunter” Jun in their rematch.
The Algerian, who also has strong ties to Switzerland, added another championship to Africa’s growing presence in the promotion and continued the rise of mixed martial arts across the Middle East and North Africa region.
Together, Lohoré, Hwende and Said Maalem represent different regions of the African continent and different paths to championship success.
Their simultaneous reigns mark a historic first for BRAVE CF and underscore the increasing impact of African athletes on the promotion’s global stage.
