In Jae La of South Korea had a fantastic start to his professional mixed martial arts career. He not only served as the event's host for the first-ever BRAVE CF tournament held in his country, but he also raised the flag of his country by defeating Mzwandile Hlongwa of South Africa by unanimous decision at BRAVE CF 58.

The former Road FC Middleweight champion is a national legend with some clout who has only suffered one defeat in twelve matches. Now that he has won the BRAVE CF Middleweight title, "Mudtank" may move one step closer to claiming his first global championship.

In the main event of BRAVE CF 66, he will have to defeat Chad "Superman" Hanekom, the second-ranked middleweight in the BRAVE CF rankings. Even if Hlongwa is the more unpredictable striker, Hanekom might present Jae La with a greater challenge because he is a more skilled mixed martial artist with strong hands and a solid grounding in grappling and wrestling.

At BRAVE CF 31, "Superman" was defeated by Daniel Pereira of Brazil, failing to win South Africa's first-ever BRAVE CF championship. Since then, he has given all of his attention to getting back on track and winning the BRAVE CF gold.

The expert grappler, who has an unblemished record of six stoppages in eight victories, has subsequently gone on a two-fight winning streak by defeating Mateusz Janur of Poland and Dominic Schober of Austria. He asked with BRAVE CF matchmakers to allow him fight the South Korean who is riding a three-bout winning run after his victory against Janur at BRAVE CF 61.

"Mudtank" is a wrestler who, like "Superman," uses his skill to dominate his opponents. At BRAVE CF 58, he defeated the explosive African after controlling him on the ground and in the clinch, serving as a reminder of his abilities.

Hanekom, who is now rated number two, is just one fight away from facing top-ranked Russian Abusupyan Alikhanov for the title.

He must first defeat "Mudtank," a fighter who hopes to upend the 185-pound class by eliminating another South African opponent and securing a spot in a bout for the vacant BRAVE CF Middleweight Championship.
