Hype is real: Bo Nickal gets first round submission win in UFC debut

Bo Nickal proved that the hype surrounding him is real. The American stepped into the UFC cage at UFC 285 main card and secured a first-round submission win over Jamie Pickett.

Nickal came into the fight with a professional MMA record of 3-0 to his name and ensured he kept his undefeated record intact.

In the start of the fight, Nickal had a failed kick attempt which saw him go to the ground. However, he quickly recovered and went for a takedown which he soon landed.

The American then went to lock in a triangle after taking Pickett down. Although Pickett tried to hang in without tapping, he eventually had to tap and suffer the submission loss.

After the win, Nickal noted that he was born to be in the limelight. He also went on to note that he is going to get the UFC World Title and become the Pound for Pound best fighter in the promotion soon.
