Aung La heaps high praise on Rodtang, says American fans will love him

ONE Championship is all set to visit the United States in 2023. Former two-division champion Aung La N Sang has already expressed his interest about being on the card and beyond that he feels that ONE Championship should have some Muay Thai fights on the card.

Speaking to ONE Championship, Aung La dropped a few names that ONE could feature on their US Fight card.

The current ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon is the obvious choice to lead the way for stand-up comedy on a global scale because to his bright style and unmistakable personality.

“They have to showcase Rodtang and the Muay Thai guys because Muay Thai in 4-ounce gloves is amazing. There are a lot of Muay Thai fans here in the East Coast and the West Coast who love Muay Thai. [They’re] fanatics. They’re going to fill up the arena,” Aung La said.

Aung La N Sang also believes that Regian Eersel, the current ONE Lightweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion, as well as Roman Kryklia, the current ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Champion and reigning light heavyweight kickboxing king, would make excellent choices to introduce top-tier striking to American spectators.

“There are a lot of kickboxing fans too. [Regian] Eersel should be in there. The new Grand Prix Champion and the light heavyweight champion should be in there as well – Roman [Kryklia]. Those would be amazing for the U.S. cards. They’ll get a lot of eyes off that card, for sure,” he added.
