Aung La N Sang has once again called for a showdown with Japanese MMA icon Yushin Okami. Aung La took it to his Instagram page last day to call out Okami once again and even revealed that there is a ONE championship card coming up in Tokyo, Japan.

In the call-out, Aung La noted that Okami has always been his favourite Middleweight.

“@_yushin_okami_ you’ve always been my favorite Asian middleweight to watch. There is a @onechampionship card in Tokyo for Amazon Prime, shall we dance?,” Aung La N Sang wrote on his Instagram page.

The Burmese Python is currently coming off his loss against Vitaly Bigdash and will be eager to bounce back strongly. A former two-division champion in ONE Championship, Aung La has been on a roller coaster run in the past few years. He suffered two back-to-back losses to Reinier De Ridder in the promotion and in turn, dropped the ONE Middleweight and ONE Light Heavyweight title.

The superstar from Myanmar, however, returned strongly with a highlight reel KO win against Leandro Ataides before having his trilogy bout against Vitaly Bigdash.

Okami, on the other hand, is sitting on top of a win against Agilan Thani in his last bout. The 41-year-old is 36-14 in his professional MMA career and has fought in the UFC, PFL, Pancrase, WSOF and Deep before making his way into ONE Championship.

The multiple possibilities

Apart from the possible showdown with Okami, Aung La has expressed his interest in rematches with Reinier De Ridder and Vitaly Bigdash. He also entertained the possibility of a super fight with Andre Galvao.

As for the personal life of Aung La, he recently became a father again and had shared the news on his social media a few weeks back.
