Aung La N Sang shares happy news with fans, becomes father again

Aung La N Sang shared heart-warming news with the fans last day as he became a father again. Aung La had noted a few months back that he and his wife Katherine Oliphant is expecting a baby boy in August.

Last day, the former ONE Championship double champion posted a picture of his newborn baby and even revealed the baby’s name. The baby boy was named N Sang Simsa Naw and Aung La noted that Simsa means Peace in Kachin.

“N Sang Simsa Naw, 8 lb 4oz, July 31st 2022. God is good all the time! Simsa means peace in Kachin and the world right now needs more of that,” Aung La noted.

In his Instagram story, Aung La also revealed that ONE Championship star Tial Thang is the godfather of Simsa.

Congratulatory messages flooded the comment section of the post with names like Amir Khan, Ritu Phogat, Anissa Meksen, John Wayne Parr, and Zebaztian Kadestam among others congratulating the former champ.

Aung La, who is now settled in the United States with his family, hails from Kachin in Myanmar and is one of the biggest stars in the country. In fact, he even has a bronze statue of his at the Kachin National Manau Park for his achievements.

As for the in-ring career of the 37-year-old, Aung La last fought against Vitaly Bigdash at ONE Full Circle on February 25, 2022. Bigdash secured a unanimous decision win in the fight and ended their trilogy. Prior to this, Aung La had knocked out Leandro Ataides back at ONE: Battleground on July 30, 2021.

He had expressed his interest in fights with Reinier De Ridder and Vitaly Bigdash while also keeping the doors open for Yushin Okami and Andre Galvao. He currently holds a record of 27-13 to his name and has held the ONE Middleweight and ONE Light Heavyweight titles.
