Aung La N Sang is a former two-division champion in ONE Championship. The Burmese Python used to rule the ONE Middleweight and ONE Light Heavyweight division. However, he dropped both the titles to Reinier De Ridder, who is still on top of the divisions.

Despite the setback, Aung La is confident that he can have another world title run in ONE Championship. In his recent interview with MMA Superfan, Aung La revealed that it might take him a year but is sure that he will win the title again.

“It’s gonna take a year I think, I have a feeling that it’s gonna take a year. I had that run in me and I know it’s gonna happen,” The Burmese Python said in the interview (h/t Sportskeeda).

Aung La is now set to fight Yushin Okami next at ONE 163 and this is a fight that both fighters have been interested in for some time.

Speaking further, Aung La noted that he has been training to become the best version of himself. He is coming off a loss against Vitaly Bigdash and will be eager to get back in the winning column when he fights Okami next.

“The training is what gives me that. My training and the work that I put in, is what makes the pressure not so much of a pressure. If I can honestly look at myself and tell myself that I did everything I'm supposed to, then there's no pressure. What more can you do in life than the best that you can get? Besides that, I don't really have pressure, I don't really care. I don't really, there's no pressure in my mind. I'm just trying to be the best version of myself,” Aung La added.
