Indian MMA star Anshul Jubli feels that Indian MMA fighters are bound to take over the MMA world in the next few years. Talking exclusively ahead of his Road to UFC finals at UFC Vegas 68, Anshul noted that we will be able to see many Indian fighters in global promotions in the next few years.

“Indian MMA fighters have so much potential. In just two or three years there will be a lot of Indian fighters in the UFC and not just the UFC, but in all the other big promotions. And we will become champions there. if not, in five to ten years, we will be ruling the MMA scene,” he said during the interaction when asked about the potential of Indian MMA.

Anshul had recently made history by becoming the first Indian-born MMA fighter to secure a win inside the UFC Octagon. He secured an impressive decision win in his Road to UFC Semi-finals against Kim Kyung Pyo and in turn, qualified for the finals against Jeka Saragih.

On February 5, 2023, Anshul and Jeka Saragih will lock horns in the Road to UFC Lightweight finals with a UFC contract up for grabs. The Indian MMA star also recently signed with Paradigm Sports which is the agency that represents names like former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor and former UFC champion Israel Adesanya.
