Legendary Anatoly Malykhin Conquers Oumar Kane And Retires

The Inner Circle on 15 May at Lumpinee Stadium will be remembered for a single, defining image — Anatoly Malykhin standing in the centre of the ring, three world titles at his feet, gloves laid down, career complete. He stopped "Reug Reug" Oumar Kane via TKO to reclaim the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title and walked away a legend.

Kane made it hard. He controlled distance from his southpaw stance with side kicks and sharp counters, refusing to let Malykhin's freight-train pressure steamroll him across the opening three rounds. Then came round four — a right cross landed flush, the finishing barrage followed, and referee Olivier Coste waved it off at 1:54. Record: 15-1. Undefeated finishing rate. Retired.

Kade Ruotolo had been away for over a year with a torn ACL. He looked like he'd never left. The 23-year-old ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion stopped Hiroyuki "Japanese Beast" Tetsuka at 2:02 of round two to go 4-0 in MMA, earning his first KO and a US$50,000 bonus.

Ruotolo absorbed a measured first round before his moment arrived — a perfectly timed right cross dropped Tetsuka, and the American was on him instantly, locking into full mount and hammering short elbows until the referee stepped in. Vintage, complete, and utterly dominant from start to finish.

At ONE Friday Fights 154, Samingdam NF Looksuan made it six straight on the Lumpinee card, putting Yodphupa Petkiatpet down for an eight-count in round two before navigating a fierce late comeback to claim the bantamweight Muay Thai unanimous decision. Record: 48-9, and still the man to beat at Lumpinee.

Rungnarai Kiatmoo9 closed the night with the composed authority of a two-time world champion, picking Den Sitnayoktaweeptaphong apart with creative counters and a round-two right hand that opened a cut above the eye. The strawweight unanimous decision extended his record to 63-16 — class personified.
