ONE Fight Night 5 will end 2022 with a bang.

The event goes down on 3 December in Manila, Philippines, and in addition to the previously mentioned Joshua Pacio vs. Jarred Brooks ONE Strawweight World Title fight, a ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title battle will also take place on that day.

ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues collides with ONE Interim Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Janet Todd for all the marbles in ONE Championship’s first event of next year.

The reigning queen in Rodrigues may only have one bout to her name in the organization, but it was a doozy. She defeated then-World Champ Stamp to strap the gold around her own waist and assert herself atop of the division. However, not long after, she took a hiatus from competition to focus on pregnancy and motherhood.

Now, she’s ready to return to the Circle anew against a gritty veteran striker.

The 22-year-old may have the looks of a youthful champion, but it was no accident how she became one of world's top atomweight strikers. Before arriving in the ONE, Rodrigues amassed a Muay Thai portfolio containing 30 wins and 5 losses, defeating legends such as Thananchanok Kaewsamrit along the way.

Considering all that, with age comes experience, and standing across the Circle from Rodrigues will be her hardest challenge yet - Todd. Fourteen years her elder, the 39-11 American’s skills and accolades have kept her atop the Muay Thai and kickboxing world for many years.

If the interim champion wins, it’ll be a career-defining performance.

Todd and Rodrigues have shared similar foes on their path toward this collision. Janet dispatched Stamp for the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship in 2020. And Todd’s most recent outing in July saw her capture the interim title after a dazzling display against the tough Lara Fernandez.

The collision between these two outstanding women will make ONE’s final event of 2022 that much juicer.
