Four Fighters Including Adriano Moraes Cut From ONE Roster

An era in ONE Championship has quietly come to an end.

Bangkok Post first reported that ONE has parted ways with four fighters, headlined by eight-time ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Adriano Moraes.

Former ONE Welterweight MMA World Champion Zebaztian Kadestam, Russian prospect Ilya Freymanov, and former ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title challenger Mauro Cerilli have also departed the promotion.

Moraes leaves behind a legacy that few fighters in ONE history can match. The 37-year-old Brazilian accumulated an 11-6 ONE record across a career that featured twelve ONE World Title fights and eight championship reigns, a number that alone cements his place among the promotion's all-time greats.

His battles with Demetrious Johnson defined an era of flyweight MMA and gave the promotion some of its most compelling moments. Three defeats in his last four outings ultimately brought his remarkable journey to its conclusion.

Kadestam's ONE story was one of peaks and valleys. The 35-year-old Swede produced some of the welterweight division's most exciting moments, finishing all seven of his promotional victories across a 7-5 ONE record. His career came full circle in 2025 when former ONE Middleweight and Light Heavyweight World Champion Aung La N Sang stopped him via TKO in what proved to be his final promotional appearance.

Freymanov arrived with genuine momentum, winning his first two bouts by finish before running into former ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Thanh Le in 2023, a defeat that proved to be his last appearance in the promotion. His 2-1 ONE record barely scratches the surface of what many believed he was capable of.

Cerilli, at 43 years old, bows out of ONE as one of the oldest competitors to have graced the promotion's heavyweight division.

He compiled a 3-4 ONE record against some of the division's most formidable names, including losses to former champions Brandon Vera and Arjan Bhullar, before reaching the end of his promotional run.
