Siddharth Singh breaks down the economics behind ADCC India 2025

ADCC India 2025 will introduce one of its most athlete-focused formats yet, with clearer cash-prize policies, sponsorship benefits, and new support systems. ADCC India's Siddharth Singh revealed that ADCC India has always given cash prizes, but never publicly announced them. Athletes such as Rachit Tyagi and others have received prize money in previous editions, though the team preferred to keep it private.

However, Singh said the organisation decided to speak openly this year after hearing other tournaments claim to offer prize money while saying ADCC does not. The Absolute Pro Division winner will receive a cash prize, with the final amount depending on total registrations. Singh emphasised that ADCC does not promise unrealistic figures like “1 lakh guaranteed”, but distributes rewards responsibly to ensure sustainability.

A major addition this year is the plan to sponsor the best overall athlete and send them to the next ADCC Trials abroad. This gives top performers a chance to compete on the world stage—an opportunity that can be career-changing.

ADCC India 2025 also brings in new sponsorship partners, including The Whole Truth, one of India’s leading nutrition brands. Negotiations are underway to provide hampers or gifts for every competitor, ensuring athletes take home more than just medals and certificates.

Singh admitted that securing sponsors for combat sports is still difficult in India, though the growing popularity of UFC and MMA has helped. Many brands fear combat sports as a “blood sport”, but Singh highlights that grappling has no strikes and is one of the most family-friendly martial arts globally.

By combining prize incentives, athlete welfare, and professional organisation, ADCC India 2025 aims to deliver one of the most rewarding grappling events the country has ever seen.
