UFC returned with UFC 275 today. The event was headlined by the Light Heavyweight title fight between Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka when the UFC Flyweight title bout between Valentina Shevchenko and Taila Santos served as the co-main event.

The main event had a fast-paced start as Teixeira was putting pressure on the challenger with his kicks. The champion soon landed a takedown after which he showcased some dominance although Prochazka ended the round on a high note with some ground and pound. Prochazka came out strong in the second round and put the champion on the back foot with his striking. A slip from Prochazka gave Teixeira the top position in the last minute of the round and the champion managed to open a huge cut on the head of the challenger.

Prochazka was once again having success on the standing in the third round when Teixeira was looking to get matters to the ground which he managed to do midway through the round. Prochazka managed to turn things around and cut open the champion with his strikes. Just like the second round, Teixeira turned things around in the last minute of the third round and finished the round on top. Teixeira got on top position in the fourth round and had an arm triangle locked in only to see Prochazka escape. Teixeira almost knocked out Prochazka in the opening seconds of the fifth round but failed to find a finish. The champion was on the front foot, however, things turned around in the last minute when Prochazka pulled off a submission out of nowhere to become the new champion.

In the co-main event, Taila Santos produced a great performance against Valentina Shevchenko and took the champion to deep waters. Taila was comfortable on the ground in the early rounds and had multiple submission attempts as well. A clash of heads in the fourth round derails the momentum of the challenger and Shevchenko shifted gears as well. In the end, the fight was ruled in favor of the champion via a split decision though the scorecard sparked debates on the internet.

Zhang Weili knocked out Jedrzejczyk in the second round of their rematch with a spinning back fist. Weili was dominant throughout the first round and continued the momentum into the second round where she stopped the former UFC champion. After the fight, Joanna announced her retirement from the sport.

Jake Matthews and Jack Della Maddalena picked up wins in the main card. Jake stopped Andre Fialho in the second round via a KO while Maddalena stopped Ramazan Emeev in the first round via TKO. Maheshate and Silvana Gomez also produced knockouts in their respective matches in the prelims. Below are the results from the event.
