UFC 275: Teixeira vs Prochazka: Preview, Full Fight Card and Timings

UFC returns with UFC 275 this weekend from Singapore and the card will be headlined by the Light Heavyweight title fight between champion Glover Teixeira and challenger Jiri Prochazka.

Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka Preview

In the ultra-competitive light heavyweight division, UFC world champion Glover Teixeira (33-7, fighting out of Bethel, CT, USA by way of Governador Valadares, Brazil) will make his first title defense since winning the belt with a second-round submission of Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267. Standing across the Octagon will be first-time title contender Jiri Prochazka (28-3-1, fighting out of Hosteradice, Czechia) who earned his shot with back-to-back KOs of No. 7 Volkan Oezdamir in his UFC debut then No. 3 Dominick Reyes.

Valentina Shevchenko vs. Taila Santos Preview

Women's pound-for-pound best, UFC world women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (22-3, fighting out of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) will make her seventh defense of the title and look to extend her eight-fight win streak. Dana White's Contender Series veteran and No. 5 contender Taila Santos (19-1, Jaragua Do Sul, Brazil) earns her first title contention after a blazing four-fight win streak.

Shevchenko is currently the No.1 ranked Women’s pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC and has eight wins via KO to her name while also earning seven submission wins. She holds wins over names like Holly Holm, Julianna Pena, Katlyn Chookagian among others. Taila Santos, meanwhile, is ranked fourth in the Women’s Flyweight division and has 10 wins via KO to her name while also having three wins through submission. She has 12 first-round finishes to her name and will be looking to dethrone Shevchenko.

Zhang Weili vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk Preview

Zhang Weili (21-3, fighting out of Beijing, China) looks to put on the performance of a lifetime and successfully defeat Jedrzejczyk once again. She is currently the No. 2 UFC women’s strawweight and No. 5 UFC women’s pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC. A Former UFC women’s strawweight champion, she has won 21 of her last 23 and holds wins against Jessica Andrade, Tecia Torres and Jessica Aguilar.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (16-4, fighting out of Olsztyn, Poland), meanwhile, looks to avenge her 2020 split decision loss to Weili and show the world why she deserves a shot at championship gold. The Former UFC women’s strawweight champion had made five successful title defenses and this will be her first fight back since encountering with Zhang in 2020.

No. 8 ranked flyweight Rogerio Bontotin (17-4, 1 NC, fighting out of Colombo, Parana, Brazil) takes on No. 14 ranked Manel Kape (17-6, fighting out of Phuket, Thailand by way of Porto,Portugal).

Jack Della Maddalena (11-2, fighting out of Perth, Western Australia) faces fellow welterweight Ramazan Emeev (20-5, fighting out of Makhachkala, Russia) in an exciting matchup.

A pair of surging middleweights return to the Octagon when Brendan Allen (18-5, fighting out of Milwaukee, Wisc.) meets Jacob Malkoun (6-1, fighting out of Sydney, Australia)

SeungWoo Choi (10-4, fighting out of Gangneung, South Korea) takes on Josh Culibao (9-1-1, fighting out of Sydney, Australia) at featherweight

Maheshate (6-1, fighting out of Sichuan, China) makes his UFC debut against Steve Garcia (12-4, fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M.) at lightweight

UFC welterweight Andre Fialho (16-4, 1 NC, fighting out of Cascais, Portugal) makes his fourth Octagon appearance in 2022 against Jake Matthews (17-5, fighting out of Epping, Victoria, Australia)

South Korean UFC veteran Kyung Ho Kang (17-9, 1 N.C., fighting out of Busan, South Korea) makes a push towards the division’s top 15 when he faces Dana White's Contender Series signee Saimon Oliveira (18-4, fighting out of Balneario Camboriu, SC, Brazil)

Liang Na (19-5, fighting out of Heilongjiang, China) battles Silvana Gomez Juarez (10-4, fighting out of Tucuman, Argentina) at strawweight
