Ahead of her upcoming title fight with UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko, Taila Santos has revealed that she and her team were able to find flaws in the game of the champion.
Taila opened up about the same during the UFC 275 media day and added that Shevchenko is almost a perfect fighter.
“She’s about as close as you can get to the perfect fighter, but nobody is perfect. There’s always room for improvement for everybody. Doing the tape study, we were able to locate a few things we can work on and that was basically what the strategy has been put around those flaws that we found, and that’s what I’m going to impose,” Santos told (via MMA Junkie).

She further went on to add that she enjoys being the underdog in the fight and addressed that it has been the case throughout her career.
“I’ve been the underdog for most of my fights in the UFC. For me, that’s a good thing and I use it for extra motivation. It doesn’t matter when we get in there. We’re going to fight the same no matter what people see,” she added.
Taila comes into the fight with a record of 19-1 to her name and is on a four-fight winning streak at the moment. She had outclassed Joanne Wood, Roxanne Modafferi, Gillian Robertson and Molly McCann in her last four fights. The Brazilian is 4-1 in the UFC as well with her only loss coming against Mara Romero Borella, that too, via a split decision.
