Kwon Won II feels that Team Lakay star Stephen Loman is overhyped. The South Korean revealed his opinion in a recent interview with The AllStar and said that he was not impressed by the promotional debut of the Filipino.
“To me, he [Stephen Loman] is a guy on the street trying to outdo what I’ve accomplished. All I want is for him to get out of my way. I’m sure he’s a great athlete because he was a champion in another organization, but after watching his most recent bout against [Yusup Saadulaev], I think he’s a little overhyped. It wasn’t what I expected,” Kwon noted (h/t Washingonnewsday.com).
Kwon Won II, interestingly, is coming off a huge win in his last bout as he managed to outclass Loman’s Team Lakay teammate Kevin Belingon. With the win, he improved his record to 10-3 and also extended his winning streak to three fights.
