Captain Crazy Srikant Sekhar is set to make a quick return at Matrix Fight Night. MFN has announced that Srikant will be going up against Zahoor Shah of Afghanistan in a Lightweight contest at Matrix Fight Night 7.
Srikant, who currently holds a professional MMA record of 6-5 to his name, secured a stoppage win at Matrix Fight Night 6 against Satyajit Changmai. Srikant was initially supposed to fight Vikas Singh Ruhil at MFN 6 but the fight was canceled after Vikas suffered an injury. Satyajit stepped up on short notice for the fight in which Srikant secured a second-round submission.
Prior to this, Srikant fought three times in Matrix Fight Night and secured two wins. He made his promotional debut at Matrix Fight Night 1 against Rajinder Singh Meena and followed this up with a showdown with Jason Ramesh Solomon in the main event of Matrix Fight Night 2 before fighting Anshul Jubli at Matrix Fight Night 5.
Afghani fighter Zahoor Shah has been an active name in the Indian combat sports circuit for quite some time now and will be looking to stage a huge upset when he fights Srikant at Matrix Fight Night 7 on December 10.
Where and when will Matrix Fight Night 7 happen?
Matrix Fight Night 7 will happen on December 10, 2021. The event will be held at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, Telangana, and will be having 10 fights on the card. The event will be sanctioned by the All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) and GAMMAF.
