Indian MMA Fighter Sanjana George, who recently signed with the WWE, has revealed her ring name. She will be performing in the WWE under the ring name ‘VISH KANYA’ which translates to Poison Girl or Poison Damsel. According to Hindu Mythology, Vish Kanyas were assassins who were used against powerful enemies during Ancient India.
Last day, WWE had filed WWE recently filed a trademark for Vish Kanya with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. You can see the description of the filing below.
“Mark For: VISH KANYA trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.” (H/T EWrestlingNews).
Sanjana has changed her Instagram handle name to Vish Kanya and went on to confirm that it is indeed her ring name when she was quizzed about the name change in the comment section of her latest post.

Hailing from Kerala, India, Sanjana had announced her signing with the WWE back in April 2021. Sanjana had attended the WWE trials held in India sometime back and has been an active name in the fitness and combat sports circuit. She has also competed and won across multiple Obstacle Course Races and has experience of competing in Mixed Martial Arts as well.
