Rodtang "The Iron Man" Jitmuangnon, three-time ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, will square off against Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson at ONE X on Saturday, 26 March, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in a special rules super-fight.
The rules of this battle, in particular, make this clash one of a kind. The fighting style will alternate between Muay Thai and MMA for the duration of the bout's four rounds, with each lasting three minutes.
Rodtang is predicted to excel in the first and third Muay Thai frames, while Johnson is expected to reign supreme in the second and fourth MMA rounds.
This outstanding battle is fittingly set to go down at the biggest event ONE has put on its history. ONE X will mark the tenth anniversary of ONE Championship, and the stacked card is designed to celebrate the impact the promotion has had on the global martial arts community.
Rodtang will put his mixed martial arts skills to the test in a completely new landscape and will be looking to see how they stack up against MMA royalty.
“I know the first round is going to say a lot. I know DJ will be looking at the first round to see what we’ve both got. I’ve spent a lot of time training mixed martial arts. I definitely want to see the result of that training,” Rodtang said.
“There’s a lot that I have to study about grappling, and I need to be very careful with my preparations. Everything has to be well-planned and strategic.”
"The Iron Man" is one of the most seasoned Muay Thai competitors in ONE Championship, having fought more than 300 times. He has won the Omnoi Stadium World Title twice and the Rajadamnern Stadium Fight of the Year award in 2018 and 2019.

His opponent, "Mighty Mouse," is a 12-time flyweight world champion and a household name in the world of mixed martial arts. He also won the 2019 ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship after defeating three of the world's greatest flyweights.
“I’m so excited, because DJ is my idol, and he’s one of the best fighters in the world. It will be an honor to share the Circle with him,” Rodtang said.
“At the end of the day, this is still a sport. I’m going to put one hundred percent of my ability into this fight. Outside of the Circle, he is still my idol, as always. He’s still the greatest mixed martial artist I’ve ever known.”
