Amir Khan has been a mainstay in ONE Championship for a long time now. The Singapore-based MMA star has been on a slow run lately and is eager to get back into the cage. And one of the potential opponents that Amir is looking forward to is Indian MMA star, Rahul Raju.

Earlier, we had reported how Rahul’s coach Arvind Lalwani noted that Amir would be a great choice of opponent for the Indian. Amir Khan also gave a positive response to the same when he commented on our Instagram page on how he is open to fighting Rahul.

Now, Amir has backed up his words in an interview with ONE Championship.

“Rahul is definitely an up-and-coming fighter and someone who I’ve kept my eye on for a while. I’m more creative with my strikes now. I often vary and change things up in every match, so he won’t know what’s coming. He is looking to prove that he belongs with the top lightweights in the division, and I will make it a tough test,” he said.

Rahul Raju has been on an impressive run lately having won his last two bouts in a dominating manner. In his last fight, Rahul dominated Furqan Cheema in an India vs. Pakistan showdown which pushed his case for getting big money fight.

Apart from Rahul, Amir also noted that he would be open to fighting Pieter Buist, and Amarsanaa Tsogookhuu.
