Rahul Raju is riding high on momentum after picking up two back-to-back wins at ONE championship. The Kerala Krusher defeated Pakistan’s Furqan Cheema in his last outing at ONE: Edge of Greatness and that too, in a very dominant manner.

While the whole combat sports world has come to halt due to the Global pandemic of Coronavirus, Rahul’s coach and Juggernaut Fight Club’s Arvind Lalwani is looking forward to the potential next challenge for Rahul.

And one fighter that he sees as a potential candidate is Amir Khan. The former title contender, Amir has been on a slight dip lately having won only one fight in his last four. Despite this dry spell, there are basically no questions about the star power and the skillset that Amir brings to the table making it an excellent fight.

“One we are really looking at is Amir Khan. That would be a really good fight. Amir is a great guy and he’s got some good skillsets and he’s predominantly a striker so that will be a good striker versus grappler [match],” Arvind noted via ONE Championship.

The Juggernaut Fight Club head coach also had high praise for Rahul’s work ethics when it comes to martial arts, something that a lot of people that know Rahul has lauded.

“He has a really good heart and he’s got this attitude about him where it’s do or die, it’s all the way till the end. He’s got a very good warrior spirit. You can’t train that, he just has developed that. As soon as he came into the gym, you knew he was a tough guy and right now, his confidence has grown and he’s got this really good spirit where he will fight till the end,” he added.

Arvind concluded by addressing the on-going coronavirus situation and added that Rahul is ready to steal the show when he steps into the cage next time.

“Initially, we were looking forward to Rahul fighting in his home country in India, but with the coronavirus and all that, that’s been a damper. We are still looking forward to that, just because we can showcase how good Rahul is. No disrespect to any of the other Indian fighters, but I think Rahul is pretty much the best Indian pro mixed martial artist out there right now,” he concluded.
