Paddy Pimblett thinks that former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is not an exciting fighter. Talking after his performance of the night win at UFC London, Pimblett said that Khabib should not be in the Greatest of all time discussion.
“That’s another performance of the night. I’m never in a boring fight, that’s something that you can’t say about me. Khabib might have gone 29-0 but he was never in an exciting fight like that, end of,” he said.
He further went on to add that people started calling him a Muslim hater because of his views on Khabib.
“I started getting called a Muslim hater because I said he wasn’t the greatest of all time, he’s not. I don’t care what anyone says, he’s not the GOAT. You’ve got to have longevity in this sport to be the GOAT, and he hasn’t had longevity. He had three title defenses. Jon Jones has had what, 12?,” he said (h/t MMA Betz).
Pimblett currently holds a professional MMA record of 18-3 to his name and is 2-0 in the UFC with both his wins coming via first-round finishes. The Next Generation UK star had outclassed Luigi Vendramini in his promotional debut and then submitted Rodrigo Vargas at UFC London.
In the past as well, Pimblett has been vocal about his take on Khabib Nurmagomedov and had attracted heat for the same.
