Navi Mumbai Mixed Martial Arts Association (NMMMAA) has postponed the Warriors Dream Series MMA event which was scheduled to happen on February 4, 2022. The announcement was made by the NMMMAA team last day through their social media channels.
“Dear Coaches, Athletes, and Gym Owners, we regret to inform you that our upcoming MMA event (Warrior’s Dream) scheduled in the month of February 2022 stands postponed to a future date. The reason for postponing the event is precautionary in nature due to rising cases of COVID patients. We at NMMMAA feel that it is extremely important to take all measures necessary to protect the hygiene and well-being of society in general. Please consider this as an official message. The revised dates will be announced soon,” the statement read.
NMMMAA had earlier hosted the All India Open BJJ Championship back in November and saw a huge participation. Warriors Dream Series was supposed to be the second outing for the team and there were plans to feature both amateur and professional MMA fights.

Unfortunately, Mumbai is seeing a rise in the COVID-19 active cases with the number rising to 10,860 on January 4, 2022. Although a full lockdown is reportedly not in the books, there are chances of a mini-lockdown in Mumbai to curb the rising numbers.
