Megan Olivi says that Khabib Nurmagomedov is the unicorn of MMA

Khabib Nurmagomedov was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame this past weekend. The former UFC Lightweight champion has a legacy of his own when it comes to MMA and Megan Olivi thinks that he is the unicorn of MMA.

Olivi revealed the same during one of her interviews during the UFC 276 fight week and noted that Khabib did not need any outside noise to sell his fights.

“It is a really good question. I don’t know if we’ll ever see [someone like Khabib Nurmagomedov in the sport]. It is not just the perfect but like you said, the way her carried himself. He did not need anything else [trash talking and theatrics], he never needed the outside noise. He got some of the outside noise but he never needed it. I don’t know if we ever will [see anyone like Khabib]. I think he is a unicorn in the sport. I don’t think there will be anyone that will be compared to him in all aspects. I really don’t,” Olivi noted.

Khabib retired from MMA with a perfect record of 29-0 to his name and has been busy as a coach and promoter since his retirement. He has been linked with many fighters about a potential comeback but the Russian has ruled out all the rumors.

He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame alongside his friend and training partner Daniel Cormier during the UFC 276 fight week.
