Matrix Fight Night rolled out Matrix Fight Night 9 also known as MFN 9 from Delhi Today.

The event was headlined by the super-fight between India’s Seth Rosario and Afghanistan’s Zahoor Shah when Sanjeet Budhwar vs. Dorde Stojanovic served as the main event.

In the super fight, Seth Rosario stopped Zahoor Shah in the first round. Seth was looking for a submission from the opening bell as well and almost got a Kimura towards the end of the first round. Though Seth did not manage to get the submission, he transitioned into ground and pound to get the win via stoppage.

Sanjeet Budhwar and Dorde Stojanovic delivered a three-round war that had plenty of action. Dorde had his success on the ground when Sanjeet had his moments on the standing. Dorde even managed to open up a huge cut on Sanjeet but the Indian showed no signs of slowing down. After three rounds, the judges ruled the fight in favor of Sanjeet.

Jojo Rajkumari scored a quick KO against Mary Jane of the Philippines in the co-main event. Hailing from Manipur, Jojo needed only seconds to finish her international opponent and improved her winning streak to two fights with the knockout win.

With the stakes high, both the fighters delivered an exciting fight but it was the ground game of Srikant that proved to be the difference as he submitted Sumeet via a D’Arce Choke in the second round.

The main card of MFN 9 started with Puja Tomar securing a 20-second stoppage win against Tenzin Pema. Puja’s finish was the second fasted in MFN history and made a statement with her win. Puja had earlier secured a close win against Jojo Rajkumari in MFN when it was the promotional debut of Pema.
