Boxers Renu Devi and Payal Sharma sign with Marine Pro Boxing Promotions

Marine Pro Boxing Promotions have added two new names to their roster for the year 2021 as Renu Devi and Payal Sharma have signed with the management.

Renu Devi currently holds a professional record of 2-0 to her name having made her debut back in March 2019 against Chandni Mehra. She had won the match via a majority division and then went on to defeat Arti Verma via a TKO a year later as well. She is currently ranked fourth by BoxRec in the Female Lightweight Rankings for India.

Elsewhere, Payal Sharma will be stepping into the professional boxing circuit through the signing after a notable run in the amateur circuit. She has won multiple medals across both National and State levels and has been an active name in the Mixed Martial Arts circuit as well as having competed across events in Kolkata and Haryana among others.

Renu and Payal will be joining Shivani Dahiya in the ranks of Marine Pro Boxing Promotion and according to the team; more signings are likely to be announced in the coming months.

“We are gearing for some big female-dominated fight shows for our next events where we plan to include some Title Fights for our female boxers who have bright chances of taking the Win looking at their track record,” Devraj Das of Marine Pro Boxing Promotions noted in a statement.

The team is also teasing a huge announcement in February related to Mizoram boxing star Nutlai Lalbiakkima who had made his professional debut recently in Mumbai.
