Launch of MMA1 Federation announced, body to regulate Kumite 1 Warrior Hunt

The launch of a new MMA federation, MMA1 Federation was announced last day in Mumbai. The body which is constituted under the chairmanship of Amin Pathan (Vice president of Rajasthan Cricket Association, Chairman of Khawaja Garib Nawaz Dargah Ajmer Sharif) will be officiating and regulating the upcoming Kumite 1 Warrior Hunt reality show.

The team has also announced Mr. Mohamedali Budhwani as President (Founder of Kumite 1 League and CMD Toyam Industries Limited), Mr. Shuja Ali – as General Secretary (the COO of Toyam Industries Limited), Mr. Shekhar Menon as Legal Counsel, Mr. Purvesh Shelatkar as Chairman Advisory Board, Mr. Sudhir Padiyar as Vice-Chairman Advisory Board, Mr. Farhan Sheikh as National Commissioner & Mr. Suhail Syed as Advisor Sales and Marketing.

The founding members and key officials of the ‘MMA 1 Federation’ are as follows - Mr.Farhan Sheikh (National Commissioner), Somnath Giri (Chief Referee), Somesh Chafekar (Judge), Azharuddin Khan (Chief Cutman), Aditya Khatkade (Cutman), Surya Kash Singh BBK (Judge), Lisa Debnath (Female Fighter Inspector), Pappu Mahato (Marshal), Zarrar Juwel (Cage Side Official), Hitesh. M. Kedare (Fighter Inspector), Khem J. Vishwakarma (Timekeeper), Deepak Pagare (Marshal), Nikita. D. (Female Fighter Inspector) & Ram Vijay Thatal (Cage Side Official).

“The launch of this federation marks a very special day for me and I dedicate this federation to the entire Indian MMA community. The federation will soon announce its PRO and Amateur MMA national games to be conducted in 2022. The federation will officiate and regulate our forthcoming MMA sports reality show ‘Kumite 1 Warrior Hunt,” Mohamedali Budhwani noted in an official press release.

In the statement, MMA 1 Federation General Secretary, Mr. Shuja Ali, appreciated and acknowledged all the hard work of the Federation’s National commissioner, Mr. Farhan Sheikh, and the officials have put to train themselves and extended all his support to the officials and MMA athletes from the federation’s management board. Mr. Farhan Sheikh, Mr. Suhail Syed, Mr. Shekhar Menon, and Ms. Naghma Khan also addressed the guests and the media and extended their wholehearted support to the newly launched MMA federation.

Mohamedali Budhwani further added that there are big plans in place for the federation.

“We are cognizant of the financial hardships that most of the athletes would be facing and consequently have decided that none of the MMA1 officials would have to pay any fees to be associated with the federation. We have big plans under this federation and will soon come up with several programs which will benefit the MMA officials and athletes of our country.

The Federation has tied up with several Corporates to fund the training program and the most competitive athletes will be awarded handsome prizes. We are in discussions with some wellness companies to figure out if we could start providing for the nutritional needs of deserving athletes. Likewise, we are in discussions with a range of corporates to serve other unmet needs of the MMA athletes of our country,” he added.

The Federation also felicitated Mr. Bharat Khandare (the first Indian to be a part of UFC), and Mr. Irfan Khan (National award winner), acknowledging their contribution to Indian MMA.
