MMA Super Cup: The definitive Guide to the inaugural tournament in Bahrain

The inaugural edition of the MMA Super Cup is all set to be held in Bahrain from 9 March 2022 to 12 March 2022. Here is everything you need to know about the event.

How many teams will be there in MMA Super Cup?

The MMA Super Cup will have eight amateur MMA teams in action. Teams Russia and Ukraine were supposed to be part of the tournament as well but due to the ongoing international crisis, these teams were replaced by Team Oceania and Team Mexico. Apart from these two teams, Bahrain, Tajikistan, Ireland, Team Balkans, Kazakhstan, and Team Arabs will be in action at the inaugural MMA Super Cup.

Who is hosting the MMA Super Cup?

The MMA Super Cup is hosted as part of the BRAVE International Combat Week by International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), KHK MMA, Bahrain MMA Federation and BRAVE Combat Federation.

When and where is MMA Super Cup happening?

The MMA Super Cup will be held in the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Bahrain. The event is scheduled to happen between March 8 and March 12. The opening ceremony of the event will happen on March 8, 2022 and the finals will happen on March 12.

What is the Prize Money for MMA Super Cup?

The event will see eight of the best amateur MMA teams competing for the ultimate prize in Khalifa Sports City in Bahrain with prize money of $100,000 up for grabs for the winning team. The runner-up will get $75,000 when the team placed in the third position will get $50,000.

How can you watch MMA Super Cup?

The MMA Super Cup will be available to stream live on IMMAF.TV. The event will be available for the IMMAF TV Subscribers.

What is the format of the MMA Super Cup?

The MMA Super Cup will see teams going up against each other in a best of 9 matches. Each team will have 9 fighters in a match across nine weight classes. These nine fighters will go up against nine fighters of the other team and the team to win the greatest number of bouts from these nine bouts will win the match and move forward to the next round.

• 1 Match = 9 Bouts across 9 Weight Classes – The team with most wins in these 9 bouts wins the match and progresses
