Young Basil has entered the India Book of Records. Son of Indian MMA fighter Abdul Muneer, Basil held the abdominal plan for a duration of 2 hours 34 minutes and 40 seconds last day in Bangalore which in turn made him a new record holder. Basil now holds the record for the longest duration to hold abdominal plank position by a child.

The record-making effort was held in Bangalore on Sunday along with the AIMMAF National MMA Championship 2021 which served as the selections for the GAMMA World Championships happening in December. The event also played host to the Road to BRAVE India event.

Earlier this year, we had reported about Basil breaking the two-hour mark, and last year, he was also seen breaking the one-hour mark at the age of 8. The constant efforts have apparently paid off and it would be interesting to see what next benchmark Basil sets going forward.
