9-year-old Basil has doubled his plank time in a matter of just five months and has touched the two-hour mark. Known as the Basil MMA Kid on Social Media, Basil posted a video of him keeping the abdominal plank position for a whopping two hour and five minutes last day and has unofficially surpassed multiple existing abdominal plank records for children.

Back in 2016, 9-year-old Amir Makhmet entered the Kazakhstan Book of Records “Kines” with a plank time of one hour while in 2014; 16-year-old Gabi Ury set the Women’s record for longest plank which was 1 hour and 20 minutes long. Interestingly, Basil has surpassed both the records and has his eyes set on having his name officially in the record books soon.

You can watch the complete plank video by clicking on the Facebook post shown below.

Basil is the son of Indian MMA star Abdul Muneer and has been an active name on Social Media platform where he posts his martial arts and fitness videos.

Basil had touched the 1-Hour mark with plank back in February and had been improving on the same ever since. Considering the records that he has surpassed, it wouldn’t be hard for Basil to crack the Junior Category when it comes to the record at this pace.

The Guinness World Record for the longest plank for Men currently belongs to George Hood who held the position to 8 Hours, 15 Minutes and 15 seconds according to the Guinness World Record Website.
