Lito Adiwang secured a huge victory last day at ONE: REVOLUTION when he outclassed Hexigetu.
With the win, Lito is currently on a two-fight winning streak and climbing towards a potential title fight in the division. On top of the division is his Team Lakay teammate Joshua Pacio who made another successful title defense at ONE: REVOLUTION.
During the post-fight interview, Lito was quizzed about the possibility of fighting Pacio.
“We will cross the bridge once we are there. But for me, I respect the team and I look up to Joshua as my younger brother and if it is his time, it is his time I don’t want to rush in anything. The thing now is that I’m trying to screen out the next tough challenger for him so if they get past me, at least we help each other,” Lito said.
He further went on to add that a rematch with Koha Minowa is something that interests him and added that he is confident of getting a win against Minowa if a rematch happens.
“To Minowa, all respect to him. He beat me that’s the thing. I accept that. I did a big mistake in the fight and I was out of focus. My body and mind were in a different planet when we fought. He beat me in that night but I’m pretty sure that once they give us a rematch, I believe that I can finish him and that I can get the victory. And I believe that my previous opponents are stronger than him,” he said.
Lito and Minowa fought back in October 2020 at ONE: Inside the Matrix 3 and it was Minowa that came out on top with a split decision win. Lito, however, bounced back strongly from this defeat and secured two back-to-back wins when Minowa got a win over Alex Silva as well.
