Betting on Nate Diaz to win against Fake Khabib, says Jake Paul

Jake Paul is planning to put his money on Nate Diaz if a fight between Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev happens. The YouTube star tweeted out about the same today on Twitter and called Khamzat Chimaev ‘Fake Khabib’,

The fight between Diaz and Chimaev is reportedly verbally agreed upon and is expected to happen as the main event of UFC 279. This will be the final fight on the UFC contract of Nate Diaz and the stakes are high for Khamzat Chimaev as well.

The betting odds opened up after the fight was announced today and as per the betting lines, Khamzat Chimaev is heading into the fight as a heavy favourite.

Chimaev is a -1000 (1/11) favourite as per Betonline while Diaz is a +775 underdog.

Though Chimaev is the favourite, Jake Paul noted that he will be putting the money on Nate Diaz.

“Betr believe I’m putting my money on Nate Diaz to win versus fake Khabib,” Jake Paul Tweeted out last day.

Jake had been calling for a boxing showdown with Nate Diaz for quite some time now. The UFC contract of Nate was a hurdle for the same. The fight against Khamzat is expected to free Nate from the contractual obligations with the UFC and could open up multiple avenues for him.

As for Chimaev, he will be looking to stay undefeated in his professional MMA career and get another win on his resume. A win against Nate could further bring Khamzat closer to a title shot.
